Oaks Exhibition and Joinery Contractors Ltd. was formed in 1995 as a family run business by Colin Lawton.
John (Colin’s son) and Sean now manage the business from a 30000 sq ft, fully equipped manufacturing workshop and storage facility in Huddersfield employing up to 10 full time, qualified, experienced joiners one of which is John’s son Ryan, thus continuing the family business.
The company has evolved over a number of years to encompass office refurbishments and exhibition stands. Our first exhibition stand was built in 1996 and has led to the company becoming the place to go for a personalised, honest service for bespoke design and build. Over more recent times we have worked with and even incorporated other stand design companies. This has enabled us to accommodate greater diversity and even more elaborate designs.
Where do we work, and what can we make?
We work all over Europe, and even have a partner company that builds stands for us in North America. In the UK, our work takes us to all major exhibition venues, but also Hotels, Department Stores, sporting venues and occasionally the bottom ofa quarry in Derbyshire! We have built penguins, trains, castles and caves for T-Rex’s.
